Bombay Bicycle Club - Carry Me

Since the release of their third album "A Different Kind Of Fix" over 2 years ago, we have not heard a lot from indie-Brit rockers Bombay Bicycle Club. "Carry Me" the first single from their yet to-be-titled fourth LP, is everything that you would expect it to be: unexpected. Truly, I have not seen a band that manages to reinvent itself as much as these boys. You need only compare their first single "Open House" to the most recent release. They never sound the same, yet you instantly recognize them. This track starts off with a heavy /almost jarring bass riff, and a distorted vocal. Jack Steadman's distinctive wail kicks in, and we are also treated to some jangly choral backing vocals. It's not so much a traditional song as it is a collection of interesting sounds. This is indicative of a veer into (admittedly softer) rock, and over all, I'm into it.
